for his 50th training session after losing 50lbs we decided to test his Vertical jump results before he starts going to college at @westlacollege / @westlaathletics his standing vertical jump post 30 min workout was 34 inches!!! On 6/23/24, we focused on perfecting Ijezie's single leg dunk technique.
As a natural two-foot jumper, Ijezie showed impressive progress using the @vertimax / @vertimaxbasketball system on our Lakers-themed @versacourt_usa. Proud to see his hard work paying off!

"I trained with Jon at Golds Gym for almost two years. For a younger guy he knows his sh#t. It was a tough work out but I never dreaded going to the gym. He does a great job utilizing every minute of every session, had me doing abs between every set. I was doing half hour sessions (cause I'm poor) and I really appreciated his drive to pack that 30 minutes full of work out. Afterward he'd give me one more assignment to do on my own, so it felt like I was getting a longer session. The only time he was a few minutes late, he gave me that session for free... Which he totally didn't have to do. That's just the type of guy he is.
I was pretty new to working out when I started with Jon. Having tried some other trainers now, I think I got spoiled with Jon... he has a great personality and was happy to chat while he was kickin' my butt with some squats or chest presses. Kinda like working out with a good friend who knows fitness and is totally focused on pushing you to do your best. This made it a lot more fun for me, took my mind off the burn.
For something cardio heavy and a little different, try his vertimax class. I've only done it a couple times, but it's a great work out."

"I did the Vertimax class with Jon Kaker and it was intense but I enjoyed it. I go to the gym regularly and I realized that my gym regimen is nothing during this workout session. I use to play Volleyball and doing some of the stuff Jon had us doing use to be so easy, but I'm out of shape and this class will whip me right back into shape.
We did a series of workouts in rotation, lots of glutes and legs and abs. Jon was very helpful and eager to make sure I did the workouts with the correct form so I do not hurt myself. He encouraged me to practice in the mirror while there so I can see exactly what I was doing and then see exactly what I should be doing. Even with others who were more experienced in the class and I was moving slow, Jon still encouraged me to keep going and didn't make me feel like I shouldn't be there with experienced people.
Everything worked out perfectly and I really enjoyed the class and I'm awaiting the really sore moments and
returning to more classes to see if I can get back in shape.
Jon is very knowledgeable about the muscles that you are working on and willing to answer questions, demonstrate proper technique and is HIGHLY recommended!!!"

"Whether it was at his gym or over FaceTime Jon never disappointed. He is very diligent when paying attention to your form and pushes me to stay strong when I don’t feel like continuing.
